New Lanark-World Heritage Site

This is a photograph of one of the main mills at New Lanark World Heritage site, which is situated almost in the river clyde. One of these mills has been converted into a hotel and as you can see from the picture it is a pretty spectacular setting.

New Lanark is a world heritage village, which was built over 200 years ago when David Dale (a well-known industrialist) decided to site a series of mills close to the fast flowing River Clyde.
