SCOTTISH GOLF

Unlike most golf related websites I am not trying to sell you anything. On this page you will get links which are of interest, or websites I use regularly. In time I will also link to my own personal reviews of worthwhile golf courses and hidden gems that you can try.

General Introduction for the visitor
A broad based article for the general visitor
GlenIsla Course
A good site well laid out with some nice pictures and good course information.
Golf tickets
A golf ticketing company which has been in the golf business for over 20 years. You can find tickets to a golf event anywhere in the world through their easy to navigate site.
Lochranza Golf
One of the many courses situated on a small Island off the West Coast of Scotland. The site is quite basic but informative and has some nice pictures.
Machrie Course
This is a lovely site well laid out and easy to navigate. The only downside is that no matter how well it was designed the website could not do justice to an enchanting island (Islay) and a superb golfing experience.
Montrose Golf Links
An open championship qualifying course. The site itself is more functional than most but contains all the relevant data.
Royal Dornoch
This is the official website of the Championship course in the North of Scotland. It is used regularly for championship qualifying and it was also used for the Scottish Amateur.
Royal Troon
This website URL has been taken but it is in development so often that I'm not sure it even worth trying. If you are looking for information on this Championship course try this instead
Scottish Golf
Excellent site which has a wealth of information on it along with good links.
Scottish Golf Union
This is an official site (but not the main site) for the Scottish Golf Union, who are the official governing body of golf in Scotland. In many ways it is less cumbersome than the official site and well laid out.
Tunberry
This is the official site for Turnberry Hotel and Leisure. It is a slightly disappointing site in terms of information contained, but is well maintained and easy to navigate.

Turnberry-Personal review
I played the championship course at Turnberry last year along with two of my work colleagues. Read the review to see if this course is worth the money and its reputation.

Nairn-Personal review
I played the championship course at Nairn in 2002, off the championship tees in one of the open amateur competitions. Read the review to see if this course is worth the money and its reputation.
A golf course crossword (just for some fun)
