Stirlingshire Scenery

This is a picture of the Stirlingshire countryside in January 2002.
The Trossachs is an area of Scotland often overlooked by the visitor, being so close to major cities such as Stirling and Glasgow.

This picture is taken from the Stronachlachar end of Loch Katrine.
To the right of the picture is the pier and the small island in the middle was made famous as the island which the outlaw/freedom fighter (depending on your viewpoint) Rob Roy McGregor imprisoned the duke of Montrose's factor.
