Ireland, for such a small country has a long history of good food. Traditionally that food would have been made with ingredients which were widely available such as lamb, vegetables and some sea foods. However, times and tastes have changed and Ireland now offers a wide variety of tastes and textures. These are a selection of traditional and more modern Irish Recipes:

Baked Irish Salmon
Balnoonnan Skink (Soup)
Barm Brack (Cake)
Black Cap Sponge
Boxty
Carageen Pudding
Champ
Cod & Cockles
Colcannon
Irish Beef in Ale

Irish Broth Soup Recipe
Irish Coffee
Irish Oatcakes
Irish Scallops (Ireland)
Irish Soda Bread
Irish Stew
Potato Soup
Potted Herrings
Yellow Man Toffee

As with all recipes which involve cooking and baking a sensible approach must be taken especially when dealing with warm or hot (temperature) ingredients. If you are unable to take due care, please do not attempt to make any of these recipes. All recipes are tried at your own risk.
