Scottish bows and arrows Photographs

Bannockburn was the scene of one of the most famous Scottish land battles in 1314. The present site has a National Trust visitor centre situated at it and this contains many artefacts of the times. A full story of the battle can be found here. The battle of Bannockburn to all intents and purposes secured the scottish throne for Robert Bruce, King of Scots.
