Lebanese Food & Drink Ideas
This is an excellent example of an exotic recipe that is rich in fibers and vitamins. Lentils and burghul provide your body with lean vegetable protein.

- 1 cup lentils
- 3/4 cup burghul
- 1 cup water
- 3 finely chopped onions
- 2 tsp allspice
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- Salt & pepper to taste
In a deep pan cook lentils for 1 hour or till the lentils are soft.
In a frying pan fry the chopped onions. Add the burghul and simmer on low heat for 1 hour with a lid on.
Add cooked lentils, mix well and simmer for another 10 min on low heat.
Serve with yogurt or salad, hot or cold.
