Simple Mint Gateaux Recipe
This is a recipe for a very simple and straightforward mint gateaux. Using many pre made ingredients I am sure it won't please the traditionalists but it is a simple, fun and tasty recipe.
Simple Mint Chocolate Gateaux
- 15 g (1/2oz) margarine
- 50 g (2 oz) chocolate digestives, crushed
- l litre (1 3/4pints) vanilla ice-cream
- 50 g (2 oz) chocolate mints e.g. Elizabeth Shaw,chopped
Lightly grease a 900 g (2 1b) loaf tin with the margarine. Sprinkle the base and sides with the biscuit crumbs, coating as evenly as possible. Empty ice-cream into a bowl and whisk it to soften slightly. Stir in the chopped chocolate and spoon into loaf tin. Cover with foil or cling film and freeze
