For US to UK equivalents see this rough guide

Recipe Ingredients:

  • Water
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 8 large pork sausages
  • 1/2 kg sliced potatoes
  • Pepper and salt to taste
  • 5 tbsp chopped parsley

Recipe Method:

Bring the water to the boil and drop in the bacon and sausages cut into large chunks. Cook for 5 minutes, drain and reserve the water.

Place the bacon and sausages in a large saucepan, add the onions, potatoes, salt, pepper and half the parsley. Add enough of the reserved liquid to cover the ingredients.

Cover with a lid and simmer gently for about 1 1/2 hours until the liquid has reduced and everything is cooked thoroughly.

Serve in a hot bowl.

As with all recipes which involve cooking and baking a sensible approach must be taken especially when dealing with warm or hot (temperature) ingredients. If you are unable to take due care, please do not attempt to make any of these recipes. All recipes are tried at your own risk.
