Country Lamb Stew

This is famous recipe in Ireland. Lamb is often used for its tasty and nutrious properties and this stew woudl tend to be used as a main dish.
For US to UK equivalents see this rough guide

Recipe Ingredients:

  • Lamb - 1/2 kg
  • Potatoes - 3
  • Country Stew Mix - 1 pk

Method:

In a pan add olive oil and add lamb pieces and fry for hour until the meat is cooked and becomes soft. Add potatoes which are peeled to the meat. Cook for 5 more mins. In a bowl add water and the stew mix. Mix well.

Add this mix to the pan and boil for 5 min on high heat. Every 10 minutes or so, stir the meat and remove any "scum" which may form on the top. Cook until the meat becomes tender. Serve hot.

As with all recipes which involve cooking and baking a sensible approach must be taken especially when dealing with warm or hot (temperature) ingredients. If you are unable to take due care, please do not attempt to make any of these recipes. All recipes are tried at your own risk.
