Chick Pea & Chicken Soup

A traditional Israel soup recipe whcih shoudl be served Hot.

Recipe Ingredients:

  • Chicken - 1 kg
  • Cream - 1/2 cup
  • Egg Yoke - 1
  • Oil
  • Onions Chopped - 3
  • Chick peas - 1 cup
  • Vermicelli
  • Corn Flour - 2 tbsp
  • Lemon Juice - 2 tbsp
  • Pepper - 3 tbsp
  • Salt


Method:

Ina deep pan add water and salt. Cube/slice the Chicken in to small pieces and add them to the water. Make it to boil and once done, separate the stock and the pieces. Take a frying pan , add oil. Fry the onions till they are golden brown. Add boiled chick peas, chicken and the stock to the onions. Cook them for 10 – 15 min on medium heat.

Once it starts boiling, add the vermicelli. Add corn starch to the soup. In a small bowl add egg yoke, lemon juice and milk cream. Mix them thoroughly and add this mixture to the soup. Once the soup has boiled, add salt and pepper. It is ready to serve. Serve it hot with chilli and soya sauce.
