Cabbage Rolls

This is a nice snack to have. It should be served hot. The sauces add more taste to the recipe.

Recipe Ingredients:

  • Cabbage - 1
  • Ground Lamb - 1/2 kg
  • Tomato Sauce - 1 Can
  • Tomatroes - 8
  • Cooked rice - 2 Cups
  • eggs - 2
  • Finely Chopped - 1
  • margarine - 1 tbsp
  • Pepper - 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste


Method:

In a container take Hot water (boiled) add the cabbage leaves and put inside the water. Once they become soft take them out. Ina pan fry the onions till they are golden brown and tender. Add the meats and rice and stir well. Add eggs and the salt and pepper to the pan. Mix thoroughly. Cook for 15 – 20 mins. Turn the heat off. Add 1 tbsp of the mixture at the center of the cabbage leaf. And tie it with toothpicks. Cook them in oven for 1 hour and when serving garnish with tomato slices and season with tomato sauce.
