Basle Flour Soup
This is a simple and warming soup from Sweden. Made from unusual ingredients it is certainly worth a try.
For US to UK equivalents see this rough guide
- Butter - 1/2 cup
- Plain Flour - 3/4 Cup
- Stock - 3 Cups
Take a pan and add the butter. Once the butter is melted add the flour to it and cook until it becomes chestnut brown. Place this flour in a bowl and add stock and mix them thoroughly. Boil for 30-40 mins on low heat. Once done take it out and garnish with pepper and nutmeg. You can serve with cheese if desired.
